Located in the Expo hall, the Recruiter Pavilion has recruiters from more than 30 organizations. Candidate participation is free. Be sure to create a profile on the TESOL Career Center well in advance of the convention to make the most of jobs available and to schedule your interviews.

Here's how it works:

  1. Register for the Recruiter Pavilion. Your profile will be public to all attending recruiters. Please also go to www.tesolconvention.org to register for the Convention and pay to attend.

  2. Search for Jobs
    Jobs marked with this icon Job MarketPlace are posted by employers holding interviews at the event.

  3. Request an Interview
    From the job detail, you may request an interview at the event. If an employer is interested, they will contact you with a proposed interview time.

  4. Prepare
    Bring plenty of copies of your resume and a backup of your resume on a flash drive or disc.

  5. Check In
    Check your email to confirm locations and times for your interviews.

Interviews are 30 minutes in length and will be held on-site.

Founded in 1984 as Turkey's first private, non-profit university, Bilkent University has quickly established itself as a major center for research and teaching, attracting world-renowned scholars to its faculty and many of the very best high school graduates to its student body. Bilkent University School of English Language (BUSEL) offers EFL (English as a Foreign Language) courses at a variety of levels to undergraduates entering degree programs, as well as credit bearing courses as part of undergraduate or graduate degree programs.


According to the 2019 CWTS Leiden Rankings, Bilkent University leads the world with regard to the percentage of open-access publications. The Leiden Rankings are reported annually by the Center for Science and Technology Studies (CWTS) at Leiden University in the Netherlands. In 2019 THE Asia University rankings, Bilkent University has been ranked 82nd in the inaugural Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings among the top three universities in Turkey on the list. Bilkent University has been named as Turkey's highest-ranked university in two of the Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings for 2019: the QS Top 50 Under 50 and the QS Graduate Employability Rankings. Bilkent University has been listed among the world's elite institutions in 9 of the 46 subjects covered by QS World University Rankings by Subject (March 2017). The English Language Preparatory Program helps students acquire the required level of English for entry into academic programs in their chosen departments. The program has a highly qualified teaching body of approximately 150 local and international instructors. Students registered to Bilkent University, based on their performance on the school's in-house proficiency test called the Proficiency in Academic English (PAE), either start their degree programs or are placed in one of the five levels in the English Language Preparatory Program. Students may study in the program for up to two academic years. Through a learner-centered approach to teaching, the program equips students with English language and academic skills for them to be able to use their knowledge effectively in all aspects of life. The English Language Preparatory Program is possibly one of the largest English Language schools in the world, teaching English to around 2000 students each semester. The English Language Preparatory Program provides instructors with a professional and stimulating place to work. Early career instructors joining the program are supported through a structured in-service training course. The program has also been running the Cambridge English Delta courses since 1992 (previosly known as DOTE and DTEFL) and the course is offered to instructors on scholarship.
