The International University of Japan is a small English-medium graduate university which specializes in teaching international business, international development, and international relations. It is located in the central mountains of Japan, about 90 minutes by bullet train from Tokyo.
We are looking for temporary English for Academic Purposes Instructors to teach in our summer Intensive English Program for graduate level students from Japan and other countries.
There are two contract lengths:
Contract (1) runs JULY 5 through SEPTEMBER 5, 2017: one week orientation & debriefing and eight weeks teaching. This contract is paid Yen 975,000.
Contract (2) runs JULY 5 through AUGUST 9, 2017: one week orientation & debriefing and four weeks teaching. This shorter contract salary will be Yen 487,500.
Residents of countries other than Japan may receive a small exchange rate adjustment in addition to the base salary.
DUTIES: Teach intermediate-level students up to 16 hrs/wk; assist in the delivery of centrally coordinated program/curriculum/syllabi, assist in testing; maintain score and performance records, attend meetings; write short student reports; participate in extra-curricular activities.
BENEFITS: Free accommodation provided on or near the campus. Transportation costs reimbursed soon after arrival. Health/accident insurance not included, but package can be provided at competitive rates.
LOCATION: Minamiuonuma-shi, Niigata Prefecture, (a mountainous region, about 90 minutes by train from Tokyo)
